The Dinuba High School girls’ water polo team has made this season the most unforgettable season of the year with every one of their games whether it be a home game or an away game.
With the help of head and assistant coaches Harold Wood and Brenna Montoya, these girls were able to get twenty-one overall wins along with only eight total losses. “Our coach is definitely the main person who has helped us the most,” stated Kathyrne Forbes, one of the juniors on the team. “Throughout the season, I feel like we really improved like the entire season with our teamwork.”
With help from teammates, there will always be room for improvement and these girls have shown that improvement throughout their games. “I’m excited to see how things go next season,” said junior player, Kaylee Rodriguez. “Especially if we’re going to continue to improve.”
Regarding next season, things will be changing and players will be switching up their positions. But it’ll be a change that may be required for the girls and the future students interested in joining the team.
But for this season, it has come to an early end. With their final game against Santa Ynez and its ending score of 8-13. It is best to never lose sight of the light ahead and the team has shown that through their hard work and dedication to make it up to a spot some thought they wouldn’t be able to get into. But they did just that.
