This year’s annual Winter Fantasia once again captures the true holiday spirit, truly delivering a magical evening of music, laughter, and joy. The one night of the year when the choir department fills the auditorium with smiles from the Christmas joy the students put out by the talents of the choirs and student performers.
Mr. Popp, who played an important role in hosting and organizing the event, shared his enthusiasm with the show. “I look forward to the Winter Fantasia every year. Our students never cease to amaze me, and seeing the joy on their faces as they perform was the biggest reward,” he said.
The show featured lively skits, choral music, and upbeat Christmas music with Santa surprising the audience at the end. The support from the community to have the show and the response to the music were valued by the student’s hard work.
This year was unique as the choir took charge of the process relying on their determination and leadership. Choir president, Aaliyah Costa, took on much of the responsibility saying, “It was stressful but we were able to put on an amazing show. I am proud of everyone who stepped up to make it happen.” Costa also reflected on the challenges of planning. “There wasn’t a day where we could sit around. I had to make sure everyone knew what they were doing it was difficult but worth it.”
Despite challenges, the Dinuba choir program was able to succeed and perform music with their peers that reflected their hard work. The event concludes with ovations and wonderful feedback from the audience celebrating the hard work, talent, and spirit the community had. Winter Fantasia has been a long cherished tradition and this year proved once again why it remains one of the highs of the school year.
