On March 5th, the Dinuba High School choir program delivered a powerful and emotional performance to honor Dominick Orana, a former DHS student. The concert featured a Mixed Choir, Madrigals, and a Concert Choir. Each group performed a carefully selected set, highlighting their skill and dedication.
Mixed Choir opened with “Bonse Aba,” “Laudamus T,e” and “Sing On,” bringing their energy to the stage. After that, the Madrigals followed with “Mesure Me Sky” Good Night Dear Heart”, and “Hlonolofatsa,” showcasing their practice and hard work. The Concert Choir ended the night with “Tshotsholoza”, “Lux Aurumque,” and “Rejoice,” leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
“I’m so proud of my students and their performance from Wednesday,” said the choir director, Calista Domingcil. “They all were so amazing, and it was so special because I got to dedicate that performance to my dear friend Dominick, who was a DHS choir alum. His parents were able to come to the concert, and the joy on their faces made all the work so worth it.
With this successful concert behind them, One Voice Choir now looks forward to their upcoming spring show on May 8th and 10th.
