Senior Float.
On Saturday, September 27th, Dinuba High School seniors showed off their Emperor pride at the annual Raisin Day Parade.
The seniors had their own float, decorated with hay bales, balloons, green tinsel, and a banner featuring the handprints and signatures of the students.
All seniors had the opportunity to sit down with their friends and cheer as the parade proceeded. The students were given cowbells and bandanas to show their Emperor pride and wave to all the citizens who came to watch.
“It was really fun, this is my first time going to the parade, and being part of it was a very joyous experience,” shared one student. “My favorite part was ringing the cowbell and waving at the people who came and watched. I felt like a celebrity!”
After asking Bee Martinez, a member of the Senior Student Council, they stated, “I was so scared of the flat bed being too small, but we actually managed to fit all the seniors who came! It was nice to see all my classmates have fun at an event I helped plan.”
The senior student council put in a great deal of effort to help the parade run smoothly. Though they reported it to be “stressful”, their efforts were greatly appreciated by the senior class.
