Monson-Sultana held their annual Fall Carnival on Friday, October 10th, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m., full of fun games for kids and a variety of activities that would even have adults bidding for a class-made basket for a child’s favorite game.
Stands by the Monson-Sultana Elementary basketball court were selling cotton candy, nachos, pizza, beverages, burgers, and baked goods. Students both attending Monson-Sultana and alumni were able to join in on musical chairs, where they could win a prize from the variety of baked goods.
The carnival included a silent auction. Kindergarten through 8th-grade classes and their students created baskets for a specific theme assigned to their class, such as board games, video games, kitchen appliances, movie night, and even Halloween in general. Carnival attendees then bid on these baskets.
Students from DHS volunteered at the event, helping out in the parking lot, around the basketball court, or at one of the booths.
The Fall Carnival wasn’t just about playing games and eating food—it was about making memories together and bringing communities together. Everyone had a wonderful time, and left with huge smiles on their faces.
