On Wednesday, April 28th, Dinuba High School had its Senior Night for the Track and Field team. The stands were full of families and friends, and everyone was excited.
The meet started with Dinuba competing against Hanford. The runners lined up on the track, and the field event athletes got ready. One by one, everyone took their turns in races, jumps, and throws. Teammates cheered loudly, and the energy was high. Dinuba worked hard and performed well, making everyone proud.
After all the events were finished, the focus changed from competition to celebration. It was time to honor the seniors. A table with flowers and bouquets was set up, and the families gathered closer.
One by one, the seniors’ names were called. Each senior walked onto the track with their parents or beloved ones to whom they had dedicated their success. They held bouquets of flowers while people clapped and took pictures. It was a happy but emotional moment for everyone.
Here is what the Seniors said:
- Kaleb Saechao thanked his parents for always supporting him and believing in him. He also thanked Mr. Lester for pushing him to become stronger.
- Erik Cortez thanked his mom and dad for their sacrifices and thanked Mr. Martinez for making class fun.
- Jayden Capistran thanked his parents for being there during tough times and thanked Mrs. Kiehn for helping students to do their best.
- Marcus Carrillo thanked his parents for supporting him in school and sports, and thanked Mr.Rocha for always believing in him.
- Marcos Rodriguez thanked his Grandma for taking care of him and thanked Mr. Herevia for staying by his side during hard times.
- Caleb Diaz thanked his parents for always motivating him and thanked Mr. Domingcil for being an inspiring teacher.
Then, it was the time for girls.
- Maria Valdivia thanked her parents for always coming to her meets and thanked Coach Nate for pushing her to never give up.
- Natalie Nunez thanked her parents for supporting her and thanked Mrs. Villareal for caring for her like family.
- Jocelyn Gutierrez thanked her parents for always helping and supporting her.
- Jennifer Antonio Martinez thanked her parents for always helping and supporting her, and thanked Mrs. Dell’Anno for helping her grow as a writer.
- Gisselle Hernandez thanked her parents for their encouragement and thanked Coach Nate for inspiring her to try new things.
- Angeline Medina thanked her family for always supporting her, even from far away, and thanked Mr.Rocha for teaching her important life lessons.
- Cinthia Arroyo thanked her parents for believing in her and thanked Mrs. Lopez for always being there when she needed help.
At the end of the night, all the seniors stood together on the track one last time. Everyone cheered and took pictures. It was a night full of pride, memories, and celebration, which is a perfect way to honor the seniors of the Dinuba Track.
