Jimmy Hignojoz and Madison Avila took center stage at the basketball homecoming game as they were crowned the Dinuba High School 2025 Homecoming King and Queen, making it a night to remember.
During halftime, last year’s homecoming King and Queen, Javier Torres and Martinez Lopez came to pass down the crown to this year’s winners.
When they were asked about how they felt about winning, Jimmy said “It was fun doing all the activities, dressing up, and seeing people light up when we gave them stuff. I’m going to miss it but I feel really happy that I was able to win my senior year. It was my first time doing something big like that and being in front of a whole crowd. Having a chance to win or not was thrilling.”

Madison then added “I feel very happy and very relieved. Last week was kind of stressful but I’m so happy that me and Jimmy participated because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Jimmy and Madison both expressed how happy they were with winning Homecoming 2025 King and Queen and how much they enjoyed this experience.
The candidates also participated in a fundraiser that raised money for the LA fire victims who lost their homes. In total, between all participants, they raised $929.65. Jimmy and Madison raised a total of $521.41, Daniel and Anahi raised a total of $321, and Aiden and Hazel raised a total of $87.24. A big thanks to anyone who donated.

The night ended with the game’s final score being 64 to 53 against Lemore, way to go boys! Congratulations to Jimmy and Madison and to all of the participants this year!
