Dinuba has seen many places come and go in town, whether it be a restaurant, grocery store, or other type of business. A couple of new businesses have opened recently, including the arcade High Score next to Panda Express, El Don Restaurant, and a new fitness center called Anytime Fitness.
High Score: This arcade opened its doors on April 12, 2025. Their main focus is to bring back the 80’s nostalgic feeling of going to an arcade with your buddies. Many of us have never experienced that, but the neon, glowing lights and the low prices make it feel like we really are in the 80’s. High Score is a great place for family fun and a fun getaway for families or anyone to unwind after a long day and have some original fun. There are many original games inside, such as Pac-Man, Super Mario, claw machines, air hockey, pool, basketball, and even a new 4-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cabinet. High Score is located on 647 W El Monte Way, across from Panda Express, and it is really hard to miss. Check it out for some fun!
El Don Restaurant: This new spot offers a flavorful fusion of Mexican and Japanese cuisines. What once started as just a food truck has evolved into a unique family-owned business. Don Sanchez and his family’s establishment opened on May 31, 2025. They are well known for their hibachi plates on social media. I have had one of my own, and it is definitely worth it. The rice is tasty and has a perfect texture. The same can be said for their chicken and steak bites. Inside, the restaurant has a sophisticated, artistic interior, which is really easy on the eyes. If you are looking for somewhere fresh and nice to fill your belly, look no further than here.
Anytime Fitness: Dinuba currently has two gyms, plus a few smaller private workout spots. Having only two gyms may be limiting, as one is in the center of Dinuba near the old high school and the other is near Dollar Tree. But finally, East Dinuba will have its own, next to Ross. It will be called Anytime Fitness, which is to be taken literally. This gym will be open 24/7 and will have a variety of equipment and personalized plans. It is also the first to be open all day in Dinuba. Now, there are fewer excuses for people to say it’s too far, as pretty much every side of Dinuba has its own gym. As of today, there is no official opening date set; it will most likely be sometime this summer.
Be sure to check one of these spots out, as you won’t be let down, and if you are, my apologies.
