Barragan had 15 points, scoring in double digits! Espirito scored 27 of the 78 points and achieved his career high! They both made an excellent contribution to the team that led to their victory. Alas, the boys ended with an overall record of 11-17 and a league record of 4-6, and unfortunately did not qualify for the playoffs.
The girls’ team had an exceptional season, with an overall record of 21-7 and a league record of 8-2, finishing second in the league behind Mission Oak. The lead scorer of the season is Captain Samantha Gonzalez (junior), who averages 14.9 points per game! Compliments to her for the amazing commitment and contribution to the team. The girls are seeded 4th in Division 3 playoffs and played Golden Valley on Saturday, 13, at 6:00 pm.

Senior Night
Last week on Friday was the boys’ senior night game. The opposing team was the Tulare Union Tribe. Unfortunately, the boys’ team struggled against Tulare Union, losing 78-52. Despite the disappointing loss, the senior night celebration was still as cheerful as the last, honoring Alexander Barragan and Mikey Espirito as graduating seniors.
This week, on Monday, was the girls’ senior night. The seniors this year are Emma Rico, Mayha Chavez, Kaylee Rodrigez, and Kathryne Forbes. The game was against the Mission Oak Hawks, and though the girls fought hard and long, the game ended in defeat. Still, the commemoration was filled with laughter and memories, as they celebrated their last season.
