On Wednesday, February 11th, Dinuba High School hosted a successful FAFSA night organized by career counselor Mrs. Rivera and counselor Mr. Yang.
This event was designed to help students and families better understand and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), an important step in preparing for college. Seniors and their families attended the workshop to gain hands-on guidance through the financial aid process. Staff members were available to answer questions and ensure families felt confident submitting their applications.
According to Mrs. Rivera, the goal of the event was to give students as much exposure and support as possible when navigating financial aid, including different grants through FAFSA, which she states is very beneficial. She described this year’s FAFSA night as a major improvement compared to previous years.
“This year was so much better,” Mrs. Rivera commented. She explained that it was easier and that the application process was too.
