The Cinco de Mayo parade took place on May 2nd, 2026, in Dinuba’s downtown. The parade is an annual tradition in the community that features the Dinuba High School flag team, band, and more. It’s a celebration that includes the parade, carnival, and performances showcasing community involvement.
The high school seniors showed up dressed in senior gear. Many wore white shirts paired with pants painted with “Senior” designs.
Despite the simple setup, the seniors made the most of the moment, sitting with friends and enjoying the celebration filled with laughter and fun. The float was organized at the last minute, so there were minimal decorations. Many seniors mentioned that the event felt rushed and that some people didn’t even know it was happening.
Students struggled to find parking due to the many roads being closed and having to walk to the float.
A student shared that they tripped while trying to get on the senior float. “I had to hop on the senior float since there was no stepping stool provided,” they said. “I tripped and got my white shirt dirty. Only after that did the student council pull out the stool.”
Despite all these mishaps, those who did attend said it was a really fun way to wrap up senior year.
