On Monday, May 18th, Dinuba High School held its annual Scholarship Night at the Hellbaum Auditorium at Dinuba Intermediate School (DIS), the old Dinuba High School campus.
During this ceremony, a total of 399 scholarships were awarded to Dinuba High School Seniors. A grand total of over $220,000 was awarded to seniors who put their hard work and dedication into their applications, which were available on the Going Merry website for a while before becoming available to pick up in the College and Career Center (G102) with Ms. Rivera.
During the night, the scholarships were awarded in five sections: Local Scholarships, Elementary School Scholarships, Dinuba High Scholarships, Other Scholarships, and University Scholarships. Each of these scholarships was announced by either the Scholarship donors or DHS staff, like Principal Mr. Andrew Popp and Head Dinuba High School Counselor Mrs. Agustina (Auggie) Sanchez.
While this night was definitely one to remember, seniors who were awarded either got their official letters at the event itself, or were told they’d be able to pick up their letters/checks during the Senior Breakfast, which takes place on May 26th, before heading out for Grad Walk.
