As our Dinuba Emps Cross Country team ran their last race on Thursday, 11/20/25, their season came to an end. Each of these runners has poured their hard work and dedication into every practice and race, pushing themselves beyond their comfort zone to demonstrate their determination to cross the finish line. What began as challenging workouts and hard work has become a bond of endless memories and shared goals. As they crossed the finish line for the final time, it didn’t indicate the end of their season. These runners have proved what genuine commitment looks like, going above and beyond to achieve their goals.
Cross Country captain Jordan Harp is a senior at DHS this year and has been a runner all four years of his high school career. He began during COVID and slowly grew a passion for running. Jordan has won 30+ medals throughout his high school career and earned an “All League Selection” this year.
Marcus Carrillo, a senior, has been running in cross country since eighth grade. He slowly grew a passion for it and pursued running throughout all four years in high school.
Dominic Villanueva is a freshman at DHS and began his cross-country career in seventh grade. This season, he won three medals, but unfortunately, he faced an injury, putting a hold on running. He overcame it by the end of the season and is ready to bounce back next season, stronger, with goals in mind. With him only just starting his high school career, Dominic has a bright future ahead of him with many more years to come.
As the season comes to a close, this group of runners has achieved so much and will continue to achieve more in future seasons.
