Prom is one of the most exciting dances and events for many seniors and juniors at Dinuba High School. It gives students the opportunity to get dressed up and take pictures with their loved ones. It’s a time to dance, hang out with friends, and reconnect with former classmates. Most importantly, it’s about creating lasting memories with everyone.
This year’s prom was on April 11th at the Hobbs Grove in Sanger. The theme for this year’s prom was The Princess and The Prom: A Night in the Bayou.
The décor was classy and earthy, featuring soft yellow lights and elegant white tents to protect the students from possible rain. The centerpieces were dark glass displays topped with leaves, adding to the natural aesthetic. There was also a photo booth area where students could take pictures with their friends to remember the night.
Snacks were provided, such as brownies, cakepops, and beignets. For refreshments, students were given the choice between lemonade and water.
Many songs were played throughout the evening. At the beginning of the night, students were mostly sitting, talking, and catching up with friends. As the night went on, the dance floor began to fill up. Students gathered in circles and danced together, while some chose to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
Later in the evening, the Prom King and Queen were announced. The winners were Samantha Arduango and Anthony Leal.
Students also had the chance to win a free prom ticket using EMPS tokens—one token counted as one entry. The lucky student was Angel Reyes, and he was even given the option to receive a refund of his ticket.
Overall, many students had nothing but positive things to say about the night. It was a fun and unforgettable experience, filled with many great memories.
