Dictionary.com has already named its Word of the Year for 2025 as the slang term “6 7”. The term is a nonsensical and ambiguous phrase popularized by Gen Alpha on social media. It is used to express uncertainty, indifference, or something that is just “so-so”. The term is so ubiquitous lately that some schools have banned it for being disruptive to the classroom environment.
